If you could ask me just ONE Question about creating more success and joy for yourself in 2010, what would your question be?

This is An Personal Invitation from Mr. Jack Canfield. On the 1st Wednesday of each month, Mr. Jack answers to questions like the ones below :
"What do you recommend to help someone overcome the worry and anxiety of not having enough money to pay their bills, while at the same time continue to manifest the positive energy to attract the money that is needed not only to pay these bills but actually get ahead and stay ahead?
" I don’t know what makes me happy or what my skills and talents are. Is this normal and how do I get past this to start applying the Law of Attraction?
"I have diabetes and I’ve tried visualized myself healthy, using affirmations and also watching funny movies as advised in The Secret, but it doesn’t help, what should I do?”
"How do we know and find out what our life’s purpose is?"
What would be your most soul searching question? Ask Mr. Jack Canfield.

"There are TWO great days in a person's life - the day we are born and the day we discover why" - William Barclay

3 years ago, I had not a single clue of 'my very existence' in this world. I had never understood the meaning of "life"or "living in the present moment" until I stumbled upon this book , "The Secret". One of the co-authors featured in the book was Mr. Jack Canfield. It was this part of what he said caught my full attention -
He said, "Think of a car driving through the night. The headlights only go a hundred to two hundred feet forward, and you can make it all the way from California to New York driving through the dark, because all you have to see is the next two hundred feet. And that's how life tends to unfold before us. If we just trust that the next two hundred feet will unfold after that, your life will keep unfolding. And it will eventually get you to the destination of whatever it is you truly want, because you want it."
The next thing I knew was I signed up for his Free Audio Programme and I have never stopped listening to him...

Making My Wish List

Hai, there, how's everyone? Have planned to reorganize my blog to add more personal touch so that we all can get to know each other better, and hopefully, we share the same appetite and you will continue to come back and give me your moral support.
Talking about moral support, I have had not received a single comment since my last few posts. I do like to write more regularly , but , I need to collect some feedback from you all so that I know that I am in the right track.
For e.g., how do you find The Mirror Exercise? Does it give you a chance to 'revisit your inner self '? The first time I tried it, I felt tears in my eyes when I said to the image in the mirror, " I appreciate you, I feel I am so blessed! "
What about you?
Tell me about it, please...please....

Discovering Sabah

Hai, Dear All,
Glad to be back at home and talk to you all. Where have I been to? We have been on the road for the past 2 weeks. We have travelled a total of 3000 km , starting from Bintulu >Miri >
Brunei>Kota Kinabalu> Sandakan >Lahad Datu >Tawau>Semporna and back to Bintulu. It took us another 660 km to complete the second part of our journey which included Sibu, Bintangor, Julau. Our record shows a total of 63 hours on the road!
Waw...
What an adventure! See that Mountain in the slideshow? It's the Mount Kinabalu, the Highest Mountain in South East Asia, stands at 4,101 m. Isn't magnificent and mysterious? Would you like to climb it?

The Mirror Exercise

Here's an example of how to appreciate yourself:-

" Pauline, I want to appreciate you for the following things today. First I want to appreciate you for making the efforts to read 15 mins before going to bed last night and you got up early this morning to complete the household chores. And then you meditated for 15 mins before taking your morning shower. You had completed your assignment and in time to prepare lunch for your family. You had checked and replied to your emails and allowed yourself a coffee break. Oh yes, you bathed Whisky and he is one happy and clean dog. You had made arrangements with your clients prior to going off for vacation. Your plans all went well and you were able to write another post for tomorrow. You are great today! And One More Thing- and I love you !"

Remember to maintain eye contact with yourself throughout the exercise. When you have completed, look deeply into your own eyes and say," I love you." Then continue to stand there for few more seconds to really feel the impact of the experience. The trick during this last part is to not just turn away from the mirror feeling embarassed or thinking of yourself or the exercise as stupid.

This exercise becomes most powerful if you do it continuously every night for 40 days. If you realize that you have not done it, get out of bed and do it. You willl only get as much out of this exercise as you put into it.

Finally,One sensible thing to do - let your family members/friends know that you are doing this exercise every night and there won't be any SURPRISES!

I will be off for my vacation! Please tell me which part of the exercise is your favorite moment!

Do you love yourself ?

An unusual question? But really, try asking that while standing in front of a mirror! How about doing it the more effective way:-
Before you start, stand in front of a mirror, take a few seconds to look into the eyes of the person looking back at you. Then,

1) Say your name

2) Appreciate yourself for :

- achievements

- promises kept

- Temptations overcome

3) Say " I love you!" to yourself

4) Take it in, look at your mirror image, see it, feel it and believe it

5) Take a few deep breathes and then,

6) SMILE!

I find this 'Mirror Exercise' very fulfilling and rewarding. I learnt it while I took up a Home Study Course written by Mr. Jack Canfield. However, I have added on the Last Step to give one a 'mission accomplished' feelings.
Do try it out, this is one of the most simple and powerful self esteem building exercises in the world. Its purpose is to replace those negative self talks that dominate our thoughts. Will share more examples of how it can be done in my next post.
It will be most encouraging if I can hear from any one of you, do keep me company:-)
